Go to the admin toolbar at the top right hand corner of the page and select "Translations" from the drop down menu. You can search for specific phrases to translate or just translate page by page. When you are translating from English to another language you must copy %VARIABLE% exactly, including the % sign, to insure the variables are translated correctly.
For example from English to French:
